Project Description

This Block 365b Upper Serangoon was a recommendation from an existing client who is very happy with our work. The clients are the parents of the existing client who recommended us to them.

Design approach

Thom Signature Reviews: For the Blk 365b Upper Serangoon project, the clients wanted a light theme for the home, and hence we decided on a Scandinavian theme but lighter and with some wooded elements to make the house feel warmer.

Bathrooms: They also wanted a comfortable feel with some privacy elements for the 2 bathrooms. This resulted in us deciding that the master bathroom will have a darker tone colored tiles. As for the common bathroom which is more for common use, we used a lighter tone yet not deviating too far from the privacy feel. This gave the bathrooms a luxury feel.

Living Room: From the entrance, there is a very nice shoe cabinet that acts as a divider, in comes with a seti which is a pull out seti to save space. To merge along, there is the TV console. The clients wanted to have colors that go along with the Feng Shui, hence the colors are all approved by Feng Shui Master. The overall theme for the living room is to a very relaxing area for the parents in their old age, hence the muted Scandinavian color scheme.

Kitchen & dining areas: For the kitchen area, we developed an outer dry pantry with water dispenser as the clients like to cook often but regularly have their grandkids in their house, hence the dry pantry allows for the grandkids to access certain items without going into the kitchen.

Bedrooms: For the bedrooms, we used more wood and solid and muted color finishes to blend in with the wood. This gave a more modern feel.
